I decided the voyages and projects on Sedna deserve their own space. I hope to keep up with this and document our adventures, repairs, and modifications with decent descriptions and pictures. Sedna is named after the the Haida and Tlingit Northwest Coast Native goddess/mother of sea mammals. My Sedna is a 35 foot Hallberg Rassy Rasmus (hull # 277) built in 1974. I adopted her in the summer of 2011. Welcome, hope you find useful information. jimk.

Buckets of Organization
So I went to Home Depot the other day to grab an electric timer and Ryobi spotlight.
Reason for the Spotlight is probably obvious...
The timer was to turn on my hanging locker dehumidifier for 30 minutes every 6 hours... it rains a lot in Oregon during the winter.
The other thing I wanted was a bucket for some anchor chain and line. So I grabbed a bright orange Homer bucket. I asked the the Home Depot employee helping me to grab a Gamma Seal Screw Lid. She didn't even know about them. The Gamma Seal is a water tight screw lid allowing easy access to contents without breaking your finger nails while opening. Try it, you'll like it!
