I decided the voyages and projects on Sedna deserve their own space. I hope to keep up with this and document our adventures, repairs, and modifications with decent descriptions and pictures. Sedna is named after the the Haida and Tlingit Northwest Coast Native goddess/mother of sea mammals. My Sedna is a 35 foot Hallberg Rassy Rasmus (hull # 277) built in 1974. I adopted her in the summer of 2011. Welcome, hope you find useful information. jimk.

Soap those Sticky Drawers
Last night I remembered a trick for making drawers slide easier. This is especially helpful with wood on wood or wood on bronze, like a sliding hatch. Just rub a dry bar of soap on the bottom of the sliding rails. I think bees wax is another option, so you could also try a candle.
